Driving down the highway, wrestling with my conflicting thoughts and raw emotions, entirely oblivious to life around me ... all of a sudden I'm startled by a wild splatter of oranges, pinks, and purples and a huge ball of red sliding behind the misty blue-grey silhouette of Virginia's mountains. Instantly, I'm yanked from the labrynth of my musings into that palpable outer reality. I laugh at myself, turn the volume knob up on Springsteen and join him at top of my lungs ... no thoughts, no conflict, just Bruce, the highway, the thrilling canvas stretched before my eyes and me...
